Well, if she's only seven, it can't be serious. If you don't want her to have a boyfriend, set an age limit for when she is allowed one. Explain to her that she needs to be older and more mature before she gets a boyfriens and she should enjoy being a kid.

She must be a pretty girl. Yeah, that is worrisome.
Kids these days seem to be so much more advanced than what we were. Hearing about a 7 year old being asked out on a date is a little troublesome. Just talk to her and explain to her that she is way too young to be dating or to be having a boyfriend.

You should talk to other parents of the children your daughter associates with and explain how you are feeling about this (they might have the same concerns). I would allow the other child/children to come over to your home and visit so you can supervise and observe what "date" really means to them. If there is still a concern, I would talk to your daughter's teacher about it. The teacher should have a good idea of the socialization that is going on amongst the children at her grade level.

Maybe you shouldn't encourage the term "Date" to her. She is just a little girl, who appears to have many friends. It's normal for her to want friends of both genders. Calm down, it's still a while before she goes on a real date. Enjoy your little girl....

seven is so young that it wouldnt be anything you should worry about a ton. Let their life play out, and see how it goes and they will start to learn gradually on their own. If she isnt exposed to little relationships early on in life, then when it comes later and its more important then it would be so much harder to learn lessons. if that made any sense

At her age the term 'date' does not mean what it does to adults. For her it probably means they hold hands at lunch. You can't screen her actions but you can keep her informed, educated, and comfortable talking to you. That way its easier to encourage her to do the right thing.
