LOL that is the truth!
I've always wanted one of each. When I found out I was pregnant, I REALLy wanted a girl. Don't know why, but I did. I was lucky enough to get my wish-a beautiful, healthy, baby girl! I would love to have a boy next, but if I do have another girl, that's fine too. Long as she's healthy.
(And yes, her father is so funny how he dotes on her and acts like a big teddy bear around her! She's six months and he's already super protective!)

A healthy baby! Fathers of just daughters don't always turn into softies, if that were the case my 4 daughters would still be with my ex who didn't know how to treat any of us. So, for those girls who have that type of dad, Great.

I would prefer a girl, at least the first baby. They tend to be less destructive and since I am a girl, I know what it is like. First baby should be a learning experience.
As for why men with baby girls get mushy about it, I think a lot of it has to do with being protective. Little boys are tough - they can take care of themselves. But most people see little girls as being fragile, needing someone to take care of them. And as a dad of one or more baby girls, men react accordingly. (Or so they think.) I think it's cute.

I have one of each. My first time I wanted a boy and got a girl. My second time I wanted a girl and got a boy. I love my children very much, but the girl is closer to her dad and the boy is closer to me. I don't know if it is because of the gender or the birth order.

LOL they do don't they, its awesome though. It teaches girls what love should be like, that they should be accepted for who they are and treasured. I think thats why it happens actually. I have two sons and one daughter, they are all grown up now. I am glad I got to experience having both. But before I had them I always wanted boys, I only had two sisters growing up. I love them all dearly but one of my sons is that extra special person to me.

I just wanted healthy babies. I think Fathers realize how different little girls are than little boys. They see the softer side of life.

Ive heard from parents that they would rather have boys because girls are too stropy and when they get to a teenager their priods start and its horrible for the parents. They get in a really bad and are a disaster when you are around them according to people who know.
