any thing floating around they need 1 or 2 new starters wells and wakefield is almost done and clement is struggling

I don't think they will, honestly. I think they will try to work with what they have.When you know you can rely on Schilling and Beckett I think they can never consider themselves to be lacking in pitching, but another starter would be nice. Then again, with Theo running the team, nothing should come as a surprise!

Boston will pick up an additional starter prior to the trade deadline. It will not be a premiere pitcher. It will be a fourth or fifth starter. Clement seems to be getting healthy. Wells will pitch on 7/31/06 and Wakefield should be back in a few weeks. They already have three solid starters. If one of the three injured starters can perform well they will be in good shape.

I don't think so. They've got enough talent on their team that the most they need to do is just a player or 2 off the bench. The Yankees need to deal for more talent because that doing so brings them close to Boston's level. Boston doesn't need a Greg Maddox or Mike Buherle. Those guys are both out of gas at the moment. Maddox is simply old, and Buherle has been overworked by Ozzie Guillen.
