I think that the Arabs and Jews are like the Vulcans and Romulans. Vulcans and Romulans were the same race a long time ago, but a difference in ideals caused them to split and go their separate ways, just like Arabs and Jews.

They are both "Semitic" races, originated in the same part of the world and so of course are very similar racially. More to the point are the Palestinians.
2000 years ago during the "Diaspora" about a third of the Hebrew people left Israel and wandered off through Europe and Asia. Of those who stayed behing in Isreal, some became Christian, some converted to Islam when it arrived and some remained Jewish.
During the first half of the 20th century, when the Jewish people began to migrate back to historic "Israel" they found the original Hebrew descendants referred to by the British as "Palestinian" using a term introduced by the Turkish Empire several centuries earlier.
They accepted the Jewish "Palestinians" as fellow Jews and incorporated them into the new state of Israel, but rejected the Muslim and Christian "Palestinians" as "outsiders," because of their religion.
Both Jews and Muslims hate and resist any suggestion that they are sprung from the same seed and are in fact the same race. The Palestinian (and all Muslim) militants insist that the Jewish Israeli is nothing more than a brutal European colonial invader, while the Israeli considers the Palestinian to be nothing more than an ignorant barbaric "native" a "sand-n*gger" if you will.
Genetic DNA testing tells us that this is not in fact true. The modern Israeli is nothing more than a "Palestinian Jew" coming home after a rather long absence, further the Palestinian Arab is nothing more than a "Hebrew Israeli" who stayed home and changed religions during the "Diaspora." They are at least "cousins" who share the same ansestors - the descendents of Moses and David on the one side ready to murder the descendents of Moses and David on the other side.
Its too bad they refuse to see each other in this light........

If you believe in the "out of Africa"theory, of the human race then we all share the same grand parents. This probably doesn't answer your futile question, if indeed it is a valid question.

So strange that no one refers to anthropological evidence. Let me just add this: Their languages are very closely related and their ancient histories overlap eachother constantly.
