Funny that justanother knows about Rutt's. Truly great hotdogs there.
Yes, there are many great restuarants in NJ. Depends what you want and where you are.

Hobokken has many great restaurants.
Also many great sushi places here - Fujiyama Mama in Westfield, Nikko in Whippany.
There's a really great restaurant in Scotch Plains called the Stage House, which is in a 1700's era house.
There's the Park and Orchard in East Rutherford, which has an award wining Wine List and great food.

Red Bank also has many nice restaurants.

Hey JJC - I used to work down the road from Crow's Nest. That's a great place.

Yes, many. More chains than original restaurants but there are some really nice places. There's one near my town called The Crow's Next that has a great atmosphere and staff and incredible food.

famous daves in brick town is great. Jumbo china buffett in brick is great too. how about applebees? they have good food too. Dennys Ihop or even the ob diner all in brick and point pleasant.
