I just wonder why some people close their eyes to the truth.
Devil lives in Israel! Actually, they have this crazy belief that this land is theirs, even though their messiah hasn't come yet and they cannot claim it as their land until he comes. So technically, they shouldn't even be there. The only reason they're still alive is because the US backs them up. Otherwise, the Germans or the Arabs would have wiped them off the face of this earth. They're horrible people. They bombed hospitals, escape roads, airports, bus stations. They bombed civilians trying to escape in cars and buses, and they bombed a PREDESIGNATED UN PEACEKEEPING LOOKOUT! All that over two soldiers? Yes, I must admit that Hezb-allah is retaliating, but what would you do if bombs are being dropped over your head. You'd fight back any way you can.

As a white Irish Catholic female, and yes a liberal, what I see is Israel conducting a holocaust on the Arab world. Let's not forget that Israel occupies land ripped from the Palestinian people. Since U.S. politicians depend on Jewish financing and the Jewish vote for re-election, it only makes sense for them to continue to back Israel with more money and arms. Look closely at those Lebanese children because thanks to Israel bombing their homes and killing their parents, they are sure to become next year's terrorists. It is a fact that the citizens of Lebanon are now jumping on Hezbollah's bandwagon like never before. In three short years, Lebanon will elect its next government which, given the present situation, will very likely be a Hezbollah victory. The people of Lebanon understand that U.S. taxes are financing Israel, so we are also their enemy. There is no even-handedness here -- the U.S. has totally turned it's back on the Arab world and we will one day pay horribly for this incredible wrong. Count the number of Arabs who have died in this and earlier conflicts vs. the number of Israelis. Israel is a bully that will never be satisfied until it kills off every single Arab, including women and children. In recent days, I have moved from being somewhat apathetic to becoming strongly anti-Israel -- and extremely ashamed of my government. Yes, I cry for the people of Lebanon.

It's called war. Civilian casualties are tragic, but inevitable.

Millions of civilians, including hundreds of thousands of children, were killed during World War One. Yet, nobody has called the US or England terrorists for fighting to defend themselves against Hitler.

Tens of thousands of civilians, including thousands of children, have been killed during the US invasion of Iraq. Where's the outcry to stop fighting there?

Thousands of Israelis, including hundreds of children, have been killed by Hamas and Hezbollah. And you think Israel is to blame for the current problems?

Israel is defending itself against enemies (Hamas and Hezbollah) who have vowed to wipe Israel off the face of the map, and who have been trying to do that for decades. Every time Israel has tried to call a cease fire, the terrorists come right back and attack Israel again. So, Israel has no choice but to fight back.

War is tragic. And the civilians who inevitably die during war are the worst part of that tragedy. But Israel did not start this war, and it's only doing what's necessary to defend itself from the fanatics that did.

Okay. I think the people were stupid not to leave when the Isreali's gave warnings in advance that the bombing was coming. I also think they are doing a great job at killing terrorists. I pray they don't succomb to pressure of the COWARDS of the world and continue killing terrorists until every last one in Lebenon is dead.
