Because being over weight is not considered attractive to many. What attracts most human beings to one another is the fact that he/she keeps in shape and cares about his/her body. I don't think I would be attracted to a man whose belly was hanging out of his pants. I wouldn't want my belly looking like that.

DUH! If you think they are well shaped and beautiful, that's what makes them attractive. Did you expect people to be attracted to that which the consider ugly and disfigured? That's like asking why do people think blue looks blue? Or why water is so wet?
In addition, this is shallow. I love my wife, and she is more attractive than any celebrity you care to name, in my eyes.
