My central air was hardly blowing air out of the vents and it was barely cool. I took the front panel off the bottom of my furnace where the air conditioner is and the A frame/fins were solid ice. I called my brother and he said the unit needs charged with freon.
The air could not circulate and blow efficiently through the ice. I am calling a service man Monday to re-charge. My fan and pump were both working also. Hope this helps. If this is a window unit, I don't know if those can be re-charged.

To check if air blowing is there, show a light paper piece (a page from a note-book) in front of the air outlet. U can see and confirm yourself if it is blowing air and if so at what rate.

TEST #1 - Go look out the window and see if the fan on the outside unit is running. If it is, Switch you thermostat to OFF and set fan to ON. Wait one hour with fan ON. Return thermostat to COOL and fan to AUTO. IF this still produces no cold air, you need a service call.

TEST #2 - Go look out the window and see if the fan on the outside unit is running. If it is not, and the air is coming from your ducts, go find the breaker box and check to reset the breaker to the outside a/c unit. If this does not repair problem, you need a service call.

Call the company who services your unit every six months , you can trust them. You do get your unit serviced, don't you? No ? Get ready to pay.

Have you check the filter tat is located in your split unit, is it choke? How long did you last service your unit?

Are you talkin about your car or the air con at home?

If you are talking about your car air con than maybe your aircon blower is faulty.
