No. I do not use that word nor do condone it. It is demeaning and detestable. People who used are an ignoramus and should be put in jail regardless of what race, creed, origin or culture.

I don't agree with anyone (from any race) using it. My personal opinion is that it needs to disappear from the English language. It makes people sound ignorant and insensitive; it just helps in keeping a racial slur alive. Ethnicity will always be a hyper-sensitive issue until the end of time.
We can learn so much from children who do not take into consideration the color of their playmates skin.

I don't know why people say it. I think there are alot of racists out there to include black people. I have had several friends whom were African American state to me that i am the first white person to come in there house? Now if that isn't racist, then what is?? I didn't realize people count who comes into their homes. I honestly can say that i think TV stereotypes the black society to look like thugs and gang bangers, and prison fillers. There are several rap and thug movies that make the young society to act or think a certain way, and it brainwashes our youth. I don't think black people should complain if other races were to say it to them, cause i hear black folks say it to each other all the time. I think if someone of a different race addressed me as a honky, i would laugh. I know i am a good person and what they are saying isn't true, If you let what a person says offend you( and i mean anything), then you are just as unintelligent as they are. Let go of the past and work on the future; that's what i always say. What i don't understand is that when someone of a different race says that word to a black person; they want to fight, and yet when another black person says it; then its OK?? That is very hypocritical, and i think they should be just as mad. I don't know, i think its stupid, or maybe they person just isn't running on all cylinders

No...not just no, but hell no.....that is one of the most vile words that I have ever had the displeasure of hearing.
I work in the Texas Prison System as a teacher and I tell my young African Americans that I do not want to hear that word whether they put an "a" on the end of it or an "er" on the end of it; that word is still derogatory and it is even worse coming out of them....In my reality, I would like words such as this to be dropped from the lexicon of the human race.....

Oh goodness lol I'm guilty as charge for using the N-word but i used to say it when i would be mad,now i just substitute other words besides using the N-word because i don't like the use of it, and i think it's demeaning. Even though you hear it in rap music, tv, and movies, and they substituted for definitions as being my friend, or other types of definitions, it still means being ignorant, and a lot of times we would say it towards eachother, but if we would hear a white person call us that, we would be ready to fight them.

No, but I've been trying to make a point of starting to say it because I constantly hear it from black artists, comedians, and just about any black person I am ever around. I think the word should have been dead a long time ago. Why blacks call each other and themselves the N word, I'll never know.

The N word causes racial problems and (no I don't use it) .It caused so much pain back in the past. And the reason that I think that word is so dumb because is because the problems and pain it had behind it and the fact about it is if you don't want any one to call you that then don't say it all.

I admit i do use it, but never as a racial slur, I never use it in reference to someone, i only use it on my boyfriend, when i get really excited about something or i'm hyper... and all kinds of things come out of my mouth (he's not african american, he's italian) but i think he wants to be black. I think I use it because... i don't know why actually

Yes. I will admit, I do say it sometimes, among my friends though, who are mostly Indian, or Spanish. I also say it to my cousin, but we just joke around, and use it as a slang like: "Sup meh niga?" because we somehow have a habbit of doing so. It doesn't offend anyone in my family though. I NEVER EVER said it to any of my African-American friends. I think that would offend them. Other than that, I hardly use to "N" word.

I'm so glad I don't have a television, if they've gotten around to using that term on TV!
When I was in college, I was in the white minority in the Opportunity Program. We used to laughingly call ourselves "Po' white trash." It was our black friends' privilege to call us that, too, because we were in "the same leaky boat," as we used to say. They also granted us the insider's privilege of using the N word affectionately, but I haven't used it since. If someone didn't know I meant it affectionately, how would I explain that I considered myself an insider?
No, I take that back: I had a black gay friend in San Francisco who also allowed me the privilege.
