I pierced my own lip and found that it was nearly imposible to get anything in it. If you really want to try to do it then go buy a croche needle and sharpen it on a file. Have a friend do it so you don't know it's coming and then just leave it in there for a few hours till you can get an earing or something in it. You'll need some yellow listerine to keep it from getting infected and your lip falling off. Best wishes

i have 14piercings all over... i know ppl who have pierced themselves and because they have not used a piercing needle absesses have appeared and infection has followed in which they have had to go to the doctors for antibiotics... maybe you should have a chat to your parents... im sure if they knew wot u were goin to do to yourself they would rather get u to have it done professionally... at the end of the day its your choice but you cant sterilise a straw properly and that will seriously increase your chance of getting an infection...

i am not going to tell you not to pierce your own lip but i will tell you that using a McDonald's straw sounds like a prime condition for an infection.

i suggest not putting a straw in your lip... its too big, if you need to put something in it after you get it periced then put like a saftey pin in it, thats what my sister did when she periced her own lip... that is untill my mom said that she had to take it out and let it close up...

yeah i agree with getting it professionally done. oh, and professionally or not if/when you ever decide to take it out you will have a small scar that looks like a a**hole by your lip.

Get it professionally done. You might injure yourself. Don't attempt it at home.
