They wouldn't let you into Canada because the border patrol agents would know that you wouldn't get back into the US. Canada wouldn't want to keep you around forever.

Heh.... yeah if you wanna raise suspicions and get your greencard taken away for good. Illegal immigration is a big issue now and they're probably more likely to investigate.

Absolutely not, also if someone held a green card and didn't bother to reapply there must be a reason.
