Liatris, of course you know that particular type is purple, but they are also available in white and pink. Liatris are one of the only plants the bloom from the top down as opposed to bottom up. Most also grow to be about 3 feet in height.

I think Liatris, and I believe they are SURPRISE related to the sun flower family! I hope.
