I went in June of 2005 & was absolutely amazed by the people & God's creation. I'd just like to hear your experience!

I am Kenyan, but abroad. I am happy you got moved by the people and God's Creation. I will be going back to work there after my studies. Take care, and welcome back, especially when I am back so I can show you aroung that place more, and introduce you to the wider community of God. Be blessed.

Why would you go to another country and tell the people that their religion, culture and beliefs are wrong? I lived in the Carribean, Central America, and the Middle East and couldn't believe the people who would go into these cultures and tell the locals that they were bad and evil and had to change their ways. The worst were the ones who would hang food and material help over the people's head in exchange for their acceptance of a certain version of Christianity.

How would (did) you feel if the shoe was on the other foot?

If you really want the best for these people, join a group that actually helps them, Seeds of Peace, Doctors without boarders, and so on...

Sorry, but that sounds like SO much fun!
I work love to do that, but I've heard people get so moved and changed that they stay there.
Have fun! ^_^
