Nope, it's a war against Bush and his oil cronies not being bazillionaires.

Every war is fought for some objectives set before hand. The war in Iraq was also started with 2 Objectives and those were (1) Elimination of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMDs) and (2) Removal of Saddam government because of its support for terrorists.
The first objective could not be achieved because there were NO WMDs what so ever and 2nd objective was not big enough to actually wage a war. US could remove Saddam with other means like a coup, internal movement by Iraqis etc (as US has done it in other countries in the past), so it is safe to say that the actual objective was to have physical control over the oil wells and that has been achieved.
War against Terror is a commercial slogan thats why neither UN nor majority of the nations participated/ supported the war. The only countries that actively participated were the ones who had direct concern with the oil.
The innocent civilians and US soldiers being killed in Iraq is infact an act of terrorism and must stop. In all the fairness all the foreign forces must be sent back from iraq and Iraqis should be let free to decide upon formation of their government and how they want to live. No country has any right to interfere in another country's internal affairs as all the nations in the world are equal and have the right to live freely and independently.

Never was a war against terror, isn't today either. It's about money and oil. What Big Business wants Big Business gets. The rest of the world sees it as naked aggression. Granted Iraq was backwater, but it holds a lot of the world's oil. It's was insane to put troops in there in an almost unilateral way (sure there are a few other countries there, but it is not even a Nato gig). it surprises me to see religeous people supporting this...when has any religious group in america actually supported war. What we're doing there is like throwing fire crackers into a fire ant nest...they're gonna get pissed...but our government (read this laced with sarcasm) "knows what it is doing, it must have a plan"
If you believe that the only way America can sustain it's dominance...or for that matter must be dominant and we are the chosen ones..is through war...you are part of the problem and will lead us into ruin. It's like watching Nero fiddle while Rome burns...this whole issue of fighting to preserve america is giving the government a reason to deny us basic rights at home. I think bad times are just starting.

The "war on terror" is a marketing phrase.
It's meant to create an emotional response that can be used to justify anything done in its name. As defined, the war on terror is eternal and unwinnable, just the the war on drugs.
There have always been terrorists in this world, and there always will be. It's impossible to eliminate all the terrorists until the human species has eliminated hate and fear. And no war is going to accomplish that. So, the "war on terror" will never end, because there will always be more terrorists left to fight.
The invasion of Iraq was a political opportunity for Bush to look good as Commander-in-Sheik. The positive approval lasted just long enough to get him elected, which is all he cared about.

No, didn't believe that from the very start! Don't you think that a "war on terrorism" sounds just a bit "ambiguous" -(it sure does to me!)! We have about as much of a chance stopping terrorism with this war as we would have stopping madmen from walking into a post office with an illegally-obtained assault rifle and blowing away the people he once worked with..... It's ridiculous. We should be making peace with the middle east if we would like to make a "dent" in their terrorist activities that are aimed toward us...instead we are making more enemies, and not just in the Middle East, but all over the world. Doesn't make much sense to me.
Seems to me that something else is going on here...maybe it does have to do with oil, after all, the Bush family contains oil tycoons.... and who is profitting from the increase in oil prices? Hmmm.....makes ya wonder, doesn't it?

And now for something completely devoid of emotion.
The 'war' in Iraq has been over for quite sometime. Sometime before this action ended the admin started calling it a war on terror and this term has continued for sometime (albeit it was a more 'politically correct' than a more correct term). However, and as it has finally started to be termed more correctly, it is a global war on Islamo (or one of a number of derivatives thereof) Fascism (e.g.'s include East Africa, Philippines [i.e., its not just in the middle east]).

NOPE. How can one possibly fight TERROR with TERROR? All those civillians are being terrorized by the US and their bombs and planes and soldiers. That's only adding to the chaos. I'm sure those people are more frirghtened now than they were before the US set foot in Iraq

of course not, Iraq, Afghanstan, Lebanon, Palastin, ... all the war against these countries by the F.U.C.K.I.N americans and Israelis are claimed to be war against terrorism but the truth is that these wars are against Islam and for benfits from some of these countries unfortunately what helps them in these war is the treason of most of the arab leaders who are buying their chairs by facilitating the way for the US and israel or by shuting their ****** mouth on what happens but thier end will be much more than the end of Sadam x- treator to his country
