I have updated the driver and I the mute button is not on. The whole audio area is gray and I can not check or uncheck any of it. The midi and all other sound boxes are usable but it is telling me that audio isn't installed??? Is this a motherboard problem?

Left click on the little horn down on right taskbar and make sure the sound is up not down at bottom.

If you have earphones plugged in then unplug them.

Hope that helps.
