Personally, I'm undecided. Although I'd like to see a more rehabilative approach, it is a reality that some criminals will never be fit to reenter society and not reoffend. What do you think?

No. Killing more people does not solve anything. I think in this day and age we should be past the eye for eye thing.

Boy are you opening up a can of worms with this question; okay, I'll bite: Yes, I do believe in the death penalty...as a matter of fact I am a big proponent of this use of punishment; the second part of you question:

1) Murder
2) Child molesters
3) genocide
4) other crimes against humanity

this is only my opinion....

Sometimes I'm for it but, then again I think it's wrong. Some of the people who have been executed have had major life-altering problems in their pasts and act out in violent ways that are known to them.I think that some of the deathrow inmates need to be fully reevaluated before the athurities throw the switch.

I believe in the death penalty. But on major crimes and if their is no doubt what so ever of guilt. Why keep housing and feeding and spending thousands of dollars on inmates that are never going to get out?

i think those who take a life on perpose forfiet thier right to live, why should they when their victims well no linger get to, ya you can say locking them up for life is just as fair but at least they get to breathe. plus rapists, child molestor should die also, same reason, plus children are the future of out society, and why should the hard working law abiding tax payers apy to keep these criminals locked up with a bed, hot shower and meal everyday. society has become to soft on criminal. i know if i ever snap and go postal i will most likely get to live out my life in a cell while i luagh every day as my victims rot. think about it

I'd like to see death penalties on those who murdered
only those who murdered

it's like this:
if you kill a person, then you deserve to die
if you rape a person, then you deserve to be mutilated
if you steal something, then you deserve to get your hands chopped off

of course some people deserve second chance, but to those who murdered many people purposely...those are the ones who deserve to die

My only problem with the death penalty is being 100% certain that the person is the one who did it.

Finally a decent question.
I want to thank you for that.
I am not God and cannot judge what is wrong and right.
But if someone raped and killed my child, yes I think death is the deserved punishment.

I think some people would rather die than spend a lifetime in solitary confinement, doing labor.
