You might not even notice your first period coming on... not all girls get cramps their first time. If you do, nothing a tylenol or two can't remedy.
Being a female and having our bodies change so much, in so many ways, over the course of our lifetimes can be unsettling and even scarey at times... just remember every woman who ever walked this planet has gone through it also. Remind yourself of the same thing when you are older and ready to have a baby with the love of your life... for every person walking the planet, a woman has gone through pregnancy and birth... and been a bit afraid in the process... there is nothing more natural.

I knew just a little about periods before mine came so I was kind of unprepared for the pain of the cramps. It wasn't unbearable or anything, just something new and strange and I remember calling my mother from school. I went home that day but was back the next day. Girls quickly adjust to changes, huh?
Don't be scared, just be informed that there will definitely be regular bleeding (but light or heavy is up to each woman) and possibly some cramps which feel like a twisting and throbbing in the lower abdomen. Again, the severity varies with each woman.
Some women have mood swings, retain a little water and may not have much of an appetite. Some of my friends were sick to their stomachs, but I never was.
You will quickly adjust to this new change and maybe even feel a little in awe that you are one step closer to becoming a woman, and someone who might give life to another one day!

I don't feel a thing when I get my period, sometimes little head aces but nothing much..... I don't get cramps and most of my friends do so I guess it just depends on who you are...... don't worry although sometimes I do wish I didn't have it b/c i'm always afraid I'll leak so when you use a tampon try to wear a liner too but you shouldn't use tampons for a while b/c your period will be pretty light for a year or so...... don't be scared......

Don't be worried, its not that bad. You'll probably notice a few spots of blood at first, so just put on a pad. The cycle will probably be light and irregular for the first few periods and can take months or years to settle down. Don't try using tampons yet, wait till you are a bit more confident with your period first.

its normal to be scared but dont be it happens to everyone! honestly you may get cramps. some are more severe then others. but youll get through it. to actually get ur period for the first time if your not going to the bathroom you can kinda feel it coming out. so go to the bathroom adn find out. also you may expierience bloading. {where your stomach gets bigger} it will probably be uncomfotable and you may be selfconsious about it. i was it took me three month to tell my BEST FRIEND! you dont have to tell anyone though but your mom so you have a way of protection. you may get pains in your lower back. but all in all its not as bad as people say. only when you get cramps its the worse. wearing a pad can be yucky cuz it feels like a diaper. but dont worry every woman goes through it! go talk to your mom if your still scared after everyones help.
hope i was able to help!

Don't be scared. Honestly it does sort of stink. It is uncomfortable and at first you will probably be self-conscious but after about 20 years of having it it won't be any big deal. Your lower back may hurt and your breasts may be tender. I used to get diarrhea and sometimes vomit but I don't any more, just some cramps.

dont be scared, it doesnt hurt. your first period is USUALLY very light. and it doesnt hurt. some cramping is likely... its not bad the first time. i would suggest using pads, i would wait to use tmapons though. you might want to be a little older to try those, sounds like youre a bit younger.
if you ever have realllllly bad cramping though, take a hot bath. it works like magic.
