Considering the formal elements of the work in "Las Meninas" and how they relate matter...?

What is the predominant color scheme of the work? Are complementary or analogous colors employed?

that's a tough question because most people haven't seen it in person (i personally have not either) and photographs can really drastically change the appearance of the palette. long story short, it looks complementary to me. hues of desaturated blues and oranges. though you COULD argue analogous because there is so little warm color...it really seems to be 90% dull, silvery cool colors/blues.
