Being able to spot a police officer is more of a matter of knowing people and seeing how observant you really are. I guess body language does play a part but I believe that it is enviornmental. Havin lived in communities where there is a high saturation of police , you kind of develop a sense and just know. It doesn't seem to matter if you are a thug or not. You still develop that sense. Thanx for the Q. I have one myself.

They are much too proper from everyone else in the crowd and they wear police shoes. Look at the feet. You can always tell a police by their shoes.

Hi! you can usually tell by the way they walk (shoes) & carry themselves - another good way is watch their lips if they look like they are talking to themselves they could be usually a radio mic.and check their ears if they have a mic bud in them.. Short hair cuts is another... In the UK they stand out a mile...they forget that most modern cars dont have those 2 way radio type aerials on the roofs anymore..

well most police smell like bacon, and it is not hard to tell the difference, they walk like they all big and bad and wear those black boots
