Since men (patriarchal) are in control/power of the world (it would seem) do you think they do a good job?

Some very good and thoughtful answers. I think men hold the predominance positions in society, politics, etc. Most RELIGIONS are RULED by men. Most HEADS OF STATE are RULED by men. And look at BOTH -- religion AND politics. Warlords control Africa. Lunatic Islamic fundamentalists rule over Iraq, and they are constantly blowing each other up (Shiite vs. Sunni). God is crying now. And it's because of the piss poor job men have been doing in governing the KINGDOM OF GOD. MEN -- HELLO! GROW UP! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, GROW UP!

If "ADAM" was given rule, and ABRAHAM as well, then the nations that Abraham was set up to rule (in both Muslim, Christian and Jewish) they are doing a really, really terrible job.

I never thought men were doing a good job, and few have;
But by the same token, I sure wouldn't want Hillery Clinton President either. She got the vote in New York, mainly because everyone felt sorry for her because of Bill Clinton's infidelitys. I'm sure she knew all about it anyway, Unless I miss my guess, there is a pretty good grape vine in the White House. I never knew a work place where that didn't exist.
Men. by their very nature are terratorial, and competive, which makes for a bad combination when running a country. Men never seem to want what they already have, so they go after what they don't have. Many men treat women the same way. It's no different. Absolute power has always corrupted down through history, and I don't think things have changed at all.
Qween Beatrix of Holland Netherlands. is the only absolute ruler in Europe, and has been doing a pretty good job of it,
Margret Thatcher was a pretty good Prime Minister, as well.
AT one time India had a woman running the country, and was one of the best people to ever run the country.

Queen Bloody Mary of England is a good example of that.
I think if Queen Elisabethll were absolute ruler of England, that she would make a good ruler.
I guess it's easy to critize, when we aren't the ones with the tough job of running things. If women don't like what men are doing then get in there and do there best to get into a position of leadership, and see if we can't do better.

Those were great answers and I agree that the power needs to be balanced. A little female compassion is definately needed though. Men think with their minds, women with their hearts. I know this is not always the case, but on a general level I've found it to be true.

What I dislike is when men say stuff about not voting Hillary in because 'what if she has PMS and decides to start a war'. THAT irks me. Genetically, I think men would be more likely to go to war due to hormones, and I think men assert themselves with power.

NO...reason its unbalanced. Though an avid feminist I am not a man hater. I'm married to one who I deeply love and have two wonderful sons. I think we need the balance of including women in anything that men are in. When that happens, the world will begin to balance nicely.

NO. I don't understand it-- I think that when things are equal, it will work. Men and women have different strengths-- put them together and they're POWERFUL. I think it would be a much happier, safer place if there was an equal balance of power.
