Also I think theyve humanised the character too much such as the romantic arc between him and rose! What do you think?

I loved him in Casanova and eagerly awaited him as Dr.Who -but his constant mugging to the camera and leaping around is constantly detracting from the story lines, with Chris Eccleston you had a true sense of danger - the empty child? Scariest episode EVER! The BBC have thrown serious money at Dr. Who and its spin off Torchwood (lets hope it doesnt go the route of K9 and company) so the fans need a convincing Doctor at the helm and i'm afraid that DT will not last the course unless he has something else in his actor's bag of tricks. As for Rose? Sarah warned you about the Doctor - get over it. We dont want our Doctor humanised! i dont care if you think i'm a geek! We all had a Doctor and mine was Tom Baker - you wouldnt have caught him using the TARDIS to send a lovelorn message to some bint with too much mascara! DAVID TENANT TAKE NOTICE! Substance over style

When I first saw David Tennant on screen as Dr Who he freaked me out a bit as it wasn't long before he became Dr Who that he was in programme on ITV called Secret Smile, if you watched it you will remember he was real psycho in that, spooky and scary, so seeing him as Dr Who didn't go down right well with me, but I guess after a few episodes I got used to him though every time he smiled I still saw him as the psycho in Secret Smile, I sort of liked the romance thing between him and Rose but its just not really Dr Who is it, I loved Christopher Ecclestone playing Dr Who and so wish he hadn't given up the part so soon.

Problem was the writers were concentrating on Rose and not enough of the doctor so with her out of the way lets hope that the character of Dr Who can be expanded and as it does I am sure David Tennant will grow with it

No, David Tennant's fine as the Doctor, although a bit annoying in places. Hopefully he'll last longer than Christopher Eccelstone did, and we'll all get used to him.

Am so-o-o glad that irritating Rose has gone though!

It's about time the Doctor showed a bit more humanity, he's been around our planet for long enough to understand us a little, don't you think.
And yes, I do know he's a fictional character.
David Tennant makes a fab Doctor, all the others were just as odd and we all have our favourites.

Yes , and when he played Casanova he was completely unconvincing, compared to Frank Finlay who played that part in the sixties. That's showing my age !

Yes, I agree completely.. The only reason I used to watch it is because I have a friend who looks very much like him.
