Personally, I believe in ghosts considering I've had my own experiences. While many people say that ghosts are conjured up in the mind as a hallucination due to extreme stress or a longing for a person that has been dead for an extended period of time, I believe ghosts actually exist.

A 'ghost' can be explained in many different ways. There are the definitions that ghosts are spirits who have unfinished business here in the human world and refuse to leave, or can't leave, until they've completed whatever it is they have to do. Others explain that ghosts are not complete spirits, but rather spiritual imprints left behind.

For example, if someone during their life spent a lot of time playing on a piano, when they die, whoever has that piano may claim that they've heard it being played when there's actually no one there because the spirit's imprint was left there.

Another definition of a ghost would be that the person who died wasn't accepted into heaven or hell and was left to float around on Earth.

There are some people who are said to be able to control the spirits and summon them to do their bidding. Others say there are people who can actually see them on a daily basis because of an opened 'gate' in their brains, kind of like a sixth sense. The term for that is clairvoyant, one who can also see into the future and have visions of the past aside from the ability to see ghosts.

Back when I was younger, my grandfather died. Nearly a year later, I started hearing footsteps outside my room in the hallway. I used to get up and open the door only to find that my parents were both asleep in their room, door still closed, and my brother was asleep in his room, door closed, and the footsteps would still be there but no one was in front of me. It really scared me, and it got worse after that. One night when I heard the footsteps, the door to my room opened without anyone there to open it and it shut again on its own. I forced my mother to sleep with me the next night and she saw it happen.

I had another experience about four years later, only this time I had been diagnosed as Bi-Polar due to my previous sightings and my change in behavior. I was going to sleep one night and I woke up to someone laying on top of me. I opened my eyes and saw nothing, but the weight was still there. I started screaming and the weight disappeared. I refused to sleep in my room for a week after that, and it got better. I went back to my room one night it someone was sitting on my feet, crawling up my body. I screamed again and when I went to see my psychologist, she doubled my medication, explained that I was hallucinating, and sent me home. She figured it was a cry for help seeing as how I was a troubled 12 year old.

However, the medication seemed to do something for the moment, and I didn't have another experience until nearly six months later, at age 13. I couldn't get to sleep that night and I suddenly saw this pink blob moving slowly across my ceiling, towards me. I closed my eyes and counted to fifteen, thinking I was just seeing things, but when I opened my eyes again it was still coming closer to me. I scrambled out of bed and turned on the light and it disappeared and I slept with the light on that night. This scenario repeated for nearly another week before I sought out my psychologist again, trying to explain that I wasn't hallucinating, but she simply assigned me more medication and even went as far as to change my medication to something stronger and specifically designed for hallucinations.

Two days later, I was going into the kitchen for a glass of water and the sink water started running before I even got near it.

So you see, while people say there are no such things as ghosts, that anyone who claims to have seen one has a mental problem, I know from experience that even while I was given tons of pills to prevent hallucinations, I still saw these images and felt them, so I know ghosts are real.

There are some shows on television where they have crews of people 'explore and talk' with 'ghosts' but those are fake shows with companies that pay lots of money to get people to spill false stories with the world. Some shows are real, but most of them are only in to make the money on an uprising fad. Hopefully this helped you a lot, or even a little bit, but just know that you aren't crazy or hallucinating, no matter how many people say you were. Ghosts are perfectly real, and while some have an issue with us, many are content with helping us or just sitting by and watching as we all advance.

People do live on after death, but God does not allow them to wander around.Likely,"ghosts" are the result of the magnectic field, that have somehow trapped a memory.Just like a tape recorder captures sound. You have heard the saying"There is nothing new under the sun"?So,likewise, the earth was recording long before Edison invented the phono recorder,or the camera came out. This is I feel, the meaning of "ghosts".

Ghost like Jesus, Satan, demons/devils, and angels, those are very much real. Ghost like the one's on F- movies, those aren't real.

I would have to go with the real deal. I've had my own experiences and 'Dennis' (as we had named him) would just make himself know occasionally. Just had two incidences where he decided to take the door going upstairs off of the hinges. No damages, just being mischievous. This type of thing, IMO, falls into the category of 'Skeptical, until you experience it yourself.'
