Well firstly, you are not what I would call fat. You are only just verging on being overweight, so it won't be difficult to put yourself more within the healthy BMI range. I am also 5ft 2 and when I was 13, I weighed about the same as you. Although I was probably a little chubby, I wouldn't have said I was fat, so I'm sure you aren't either.

I suggest trying to lose weight just by eating as healthily as possible, forget dieting, just eat lots of healthy foods and keep snacks/treats to a minimum. Also make sure you take plenty of exercise. I'm sure you do sports at school, but on top of this maybe join a weekly aerobics class or go out on a bike ride for 30 minutes. You could even join an athletics club or take up dancing. There are plenty of ways to keep fit and it can be lots of fun. I'm sure you can lose than 15lb in no time, just stay positive, don't let people get you down and keep smiling : )

well here is what I do because I have a parent that is like that as well...I recommend if u like to play sports do that or even if u like to dance make a dance cd and dance for an hour another thing I do is tabeo which works too...another thing stay away from soda and don't eat after seven because I read somewhere that after seven is the time where ur body stores all that fat so it I try not to eat after 7 and if I do then I eat pop corn...sometimes people do the kellogg's diet the eat a bowl of cereal for breakfast and dinner or place it with two meals for two weeks and another friend of mine did a cheese thing where u don't eat cheese for two weeks, during the winter time I go ice skating to keep in shape or dance and do aerobeic things I also don't eat between meals...another thing u could try is some people eat six small meals a day instead of three big ones and exercise as well sometimes u might be able to find something in the fitness magizine but I would never try the Aktin's diet because I heard bad things about that hope something works out for u

A lot of people gain weight during puberty, it will go away if you develop healthy eating habits and exercise.

Weight is lost when you burn more calories and carbohydrates than you eat, so eating a diet high in white meats (chicken, turkey) and veggies will help you lose weight the fastest because they are low in fat and calories.

Drink lots of water and take vitamins to be healthy, and try working out at a local gym or at home. In the mornings there are some work out shows on TV, and if you have work out stuff in your home, have your parents or siblings teach you how to use them.

Teens that diet usually gain more weight than the teens that don't care how much they weigh, just because if you lapse off your diet you will eat lots of junk to make yourself feel better, and in the end, gain more weight.

Do buy some new, well fitting clothing, but if you think that you can lose the weight I wouldn't buy too many now, but wait until you are a couple lbs thinner. Please don't fret too much, most people are insecure about their weight, and please don't starve yourself, it won't help.

This is something your going to need to
do alone, if your not getting help from your
family. See if a friend can assist you.
Eat small portions-all of your meals.
Include some exercise, walking, swimming
going to the gym or any sports.
Divise a schedule so that you'll feel like
continuing with them. Start slowly don't
overdo it. Loose the weight at a smaller
amount this way you'll be able to keep it off.
Within a 6 week routine you'll see some of
the results your working towards.
Good for you for wanting to be fit.

Eat well balanced meals, preferably 6 small meals a day and only eat when you're hungry. That seems obvious, but I have a bad habit of eating out of boredom. Or sadness. Or happiness... anyway also start on an exercise program. Nothing too crazy. Maybe walk around the neighborhood for an hour or so. Do some free weights, ride a bike.

Good luck. :)

Well like I did, I worked out on my own by doing sit ups, crunches, push ups, and even run a block or two once maybe even twice a day! I also ate a small salad after lunch, for a snack, and after dinner, and after two weeks I lost 8 1/2 pounds! I kno that this will B a great solution for u. :)
And if u have the erge to eat a whole bunch of snacks, candy, and junk food, then don't surround yourself with, or ask your family to remind of the junk that u eat that day and if u fell its 2 much than don't eat any more.

Baby you are going to grow into your weight, u probably have a few years left of growing which means that as you get taller you will thin out a little. Don't do the diet thing at such a young age, you are a growing young woman and you need to get your nutrition. I tried the starvation thing, but it's not worth it b/c the weight loss only last for a few days. Change your eating habits by eliminating sugar and bad fats like fried foods and FAST FOOD, and simply eat smaller portion sizes, and that should do it.

Excercise and Diet, do that for some months and you'll be skinnier in no time! And try and KEEP you weight when you get to the destined amount of lbs. you want. DO NOT starve yourself, IT DOESN'T WORK. You should always concentrate on breakfast food because it's the most important meal of the day and you need something Healthy and that will keep you going for the day. Also, try and have FUN! You should always go do sports with your family or friends and make it FUN! It's better to have fun while you excersice then NOT have fun, you might play LONGER than you usually might do if you have someone else with you. You might not get bored of it and keep on doing it all your life, and time might pass faster. GOOD LUCK!!!

cookiemvh is trying to kill you. the only way to loose weight is by diet and exercise. you have to control what you eat. and exercise every other day till you build your self up to a daily routine. i would recommend an aerobic type of work out. this will build your endurance and it will get your heart rate up for a cardio work out as well. most importantly you sweat. sweating is the key to weight lost.
you have to retrain your mind and it is a definite life style change also. your still young and growing so don't dwell on it too much. cut the snacks, get in a little work out , modify your diet and before you know it your self esteem will rocket. you'll be on the way to a Heather you. good luck.
