To add to the other ones, Cyborg of the Teen Titans, Black Lightning, of the Outsiders, there used to be an associate of the x-men, Forge, who was black; the Blur (Marvels' New Universe)
Friction (MNU), Deadshot (Liberty Project), DC's Doc Midnight, Infinity Inc.'s Northwind, Luke Cage, (former) Hero for Hire, now Power Man... there have been a bunch of very fine black comic book heroes, and this doesn't even cover the animated characters.

Cartoon characters or comic book characters?
- How about Franklin from "Peanuts"?
- Michael Jackson
- And from the Marvel Comics world, those who haven't yet been named: Bishop from the X-Men; Falcon, Triathlon, and the female Captain Marvel from the Avengers; Bill Foster (AKA Black Goliath, or Goliath); Joe "Robbie" Robertson, editor-in-chief, and Glory Grant of the Daily Bugle, and Rocket Racer (see "Spider-Man" comics); Nick Fury ("*Ultimate* Avengers").

There are alot of black characters on all types of animation shows, you have only got on the tip of it. You forgot about Heavy duty, Cable, Steel I and II. (there was two of them.) Also, Vixen was mixed.
