How often don't I feel like that would be an easier question. You wake up pissed off. You get pissed off in the rush hour. The speed cameras and traffic calming and jams; piss you off. The silly work regulations, piss you off. the people you work with, live with, meet casually, get letters from, get phone calls from (esp, Call centres in India) all piss you off.

Quite often. It's called being "civilized" and knowing how to anticipate life complications that can arise out of not being "polite." Of course, this pertains conventional behavior and wisdom. But ignoring it can have inconvenient results, like resulting in someone not getting a job, being passed over for a promotion, landing in jail (the cop could have changed his mind had you been polite), etc.
