Yes you should be able to.

Most DVD players sold in the UK can handle NTSC and the majority of televisions, at least those built in the last 10 years or so can handle NTSC as well.

To give a definitive answer however we would need details of the make and model of both your TV and DVD,

Yes, if the the DVD is region 0 and your DVD player is not more than about 3 years old. Regarding your TV- it should be able to play it- PAL and NTSC have different frame rates, but about 90% of televisions in the PAL region can handle it.

to respond to JohnJames, no, "region-free" doesn't automatically mean that a PAL DVD player will play an NTSC DVD--we're not talking region encoding but broadcast video standards.

Most modern PAL equipment is capable of something called "PAL 60," which supports NTSC. However, you might run into some problems with older gear.

Should be able to - though some TV's have a problem displaying an NTSC picture correctly. I have a Sharp TV which can not produce the image correctly, but it really does depend on the set

If your TV can only display PAL format video then it will come out black and white and shortened. So in short the answer is no, sorry.

yes, thats why its called region free...it can be played on any dvd player.
