Anyone know why and if it can be helped?

if the flower buds shrivelled before opening it will be an environmental problem - could be a sign of the soil being too damp/dry or the air being too humid/dry. Without knowing the plant in question it's difficult to say whether it is normal or not, as some plants grown indoors will not flower properly if they are meant to be grown as a foliage (leaf) plant only.

Cut if off where it started to grow out frim the main plant. It is no longer needed.

They died, bury them or a cremation.Water the plant. Maybe feed it. Check see if it's pot bound and needs a bigger pot? Is it too wet and has rotting roots?

Give me top answer for stating the obvious....
