I'm too young to think about sex or birth, but i still think of stuff. What i wanted to know is even though a woman is the child bearer, there's no way to change that. So why then women become so selfish about it to where if they become pregnant they control two lives after that. They control the child's life and the men's life. Think aobut it, a woman can just get an abortion and it wouldn't matter if the father wanted to have the baby and raise him, pay for him. Same thing if the mother wants the baby, now the dad is screwed because if he doesn't want the baby, he still has to pay, and often way too much in child support. Women sometimes say a child would change their lifestyle, financially specially, well what about the men paying child support, their life is changed financially too, but that doesn't matter does it? Shouldn't child support be equal to what the government would pay per child through welfare?

No. Welfare gives barely subsistence level benefits. People on welfare live below the poverty line. The child support system is based on the income of the individual and it should stay that way. If a man is poor, than payments will be low. However, if a man has money, than the child deserves to live better than at a welfare level.

Always remember that it takes two to tango... it isn't just the women that has to keep her pants on and take birth control... a man has just as much responsibility as the woman to monitor his sexual activity...

I do agree though that if a woman gets preganant through a mutual mistake and the man really wants to keep the baby, he should definitly have some say as to whether she has an abortion.

Government was never designed to invade families. As it does today. Those that abort are never the same either. Everyone talks about child support, but what about the money the courts take out of the child support? Where does it go? Who spends it? There is a lot more to abortion than most people think.

There are two people who have sex unprotected they are both responsible, but when they made love or what ever you want to call it they were not being responsible. The Man should consider this before he gets in the sack with a woman. If people would be more responsible there wouldn't be such a problem.

abortion is out of the question. i wouldn't know my brother now if my mom got an abortion. if they can't keep the baby for a good reason, then when it's born, they should give it up for adoption like my mom did with my brother. he's 20 now and he's the best. we met him last year for his b-day. we found him on the internet. it's so cool to have a big brother now and to know that my mom didn't kill her baby.

You answered it - selfish. Why kill a child because a woman couldnt keep her pants on or use birth control.

I BELIEVE THAT UNLESS YOU GO THROUGH THIS SITUATION FROM BOTH SIDES OF THE BLOCK. YOU'LL NOT KNOW THE RIGHT OR WRONG WAY TO ANSWER THAT FOR YOURSELF. I CAN SAY I'VE BEEN THROUGH THIS FROM MANY PEOPLES DIFFERENT POINTS OF VIEWS AND CAN UNDERSTAND THEM ALL. BUT, I CAN NOT DECIDE WHAT IS BEST FOR YOU AND YOUR SITUATION. LOOK OUTSIDE THE BOX AND YOU WILL FIND YOUR ANSWER.
