...by ur eye doctor to wear glasses. Ur parents buy them and think your wearing them but you never do? My eyes have been really hurting the last couple days and my friend told me its because I never wear my glasses. EVER! : ) Or could it be that I just have a cold? Its causing me to have really bad headaches. I have a stigmatism in both eyes. (The backs of my eyes, inside, are not proportionate or something)

Why are you NOT wearing your glasses?
That just doesn't make sense.
The doctor that EXAMINED your eyes, PRESCRIBED a remedy for a CONDITION from which you suffer and you're not FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS!!
Seems a little immature to me!
WEAR YOUR GLASSES!!!

It's very important to wear your glasses, because they are a prescription given by a Doctor. I know as a teenager, that it's embarrassing, etc. wearing glasses, because I had to start wearing them when I was a teenager...but just remember, a prescription is something to HELP you get BETTER. Your eyes can NOT get better, just like having an illness that requires an antibiotic is important and your body needs to heal itself. Having astigmatisms, like I do, these glasses are important because the curvature part in your eye doesn't focus right for you to see, so the glasses are curved for your eyes to see correctly. Please do not endanger your eyesight because of embarrassment. Just a little piece of advice.

I have the same problem and it's because of not wearing our glasses matter of fact last time I went to the eye doctor my eyes had gotten even worse and I had to get a whole new prescription so either wear them or get contacts but don't let your eyes get worse. Plus glasses are sexy!

Hopefully your doctor advised you that it would take some time for your eyes to get adjusted to your glasses. When you do wear them, yes, you will get headaches. But you do need to wear them so you dont lose your eye sight. Maybe when you get older you can get contacts.

I would go and have your eyes reevaluated and then wear your glasses.

On a side note: Bad headaches, eye pain... Can you touch your chin to your chest without pain? If you cannot... go directly to the ER and get yourself checked out it can possibly be meningitis and that can kill you if untreat. If you can touch your chin to your chest... don't worry about it. Just get someone to take a look at your eyes to see if you need a stronger prescription. Don't like glasses. try disposible contacts you only have to change them once a week and you throw them away. So you don't have to worry about losing them.

I have astigmatism too but wear contacts rather than suffer the humiliation of wearing glasses! I mean the indignity! Get yourself contacts mate. They help you see better, and you still look good!

I'd wear my freaking glasses. Your eyes will not get better, nor will you see better without them, and with them the headaches will likely get better.
