No, but want to rediscover my skills.
I'm 32, haven't really skated on a regular board in about 17 years, but jumped on a friend's kid's little piece of crap board last week and pulled a shuv-it in 2 seconds like it was riding a bike. I really want to get a new board, but they've changed alot since I used to ride a mini-hawk, and i got no idea where to start now. I need a recommendation. I am an experienced snowboarder and have had a long carving skateboard until someone stole it. I just have no idea what kind of regular street style board I should get, trucks, wheels, etc. Any advice is appreciated.

no. skateboarding is for boys. i don't even know how to STAND on a skateboard for ONE little second. i tried to stand on one, and i almost fell FLAT on my face. so no, i am not good at skateboarding. but i AM good at shopping and going to the mall.

I dont think it's a matter of how good you are, as much as it is a matter of how much you enjoy it. In my eyes, the real good skater is the kid who cant even ollie and loves skating more than anything. The dude who can heelflip nine stairs and would rather be sitting on his *** watching porn is a loser.

not yet amateur level but I can nollie, fakie, switch ollie, kickflip, heelflip,fs pop shuvit, rockafakie, frontside axle stall, frontside pivot,fs5-0,bs and fs 50-50,fs boardslide and am working on feeble grind.

i dont surround my life by it but it's something to do when your bored...lol
I dont want to 'talk' about it though...
