they are insecure
they feel bad about their life and want other people to feel miserable like them
they do not care if their behavior is rude, disgusting or just plain nasty, because they think they rule the earth

Because most people think the universe revolves around them. Most people are so self absorbed that they forget there is a world beyond their little bit of space. Most people only want whats best for themselves, and screw everyone around them....
These are a few of the reasons I believe humans to be rude....and somewhat obnoxious.
I am so glad I'm not one of them lol!

Nobody really wants to be rude or considers himself/herself to be so . Some people just don't know how to react in a given situation or they avoid interaction . Yeah, we do have some snobbish people also around who consider themselves superior to above & dont behave nicely to others . The need is to tell such people upfront that their behaviour is disturbing .

because they have low self esteem, or they want to seem cool, or they're insecure. Or they plain just really don't like you. If they're smaller they might not know better though.
