You really shouldn't do that because it can cause infection. If your parents said you cant get your lip peirced, then what makes you think that if you do it yourself theyre just all of a sudden going to be ok with it?

wait until your old enough to get a professional to do it.

This is a really bad idea on a few levels:
1. The chances of you winding up with an infection are really great. Lots of times, piercings done in professional shops get infected, and that's with proper care. It's even greater when you are doing the piercing yourself, without proper or sterilized equipment.
2. You would need a very large gauge needle to pull this off. Your mom's sewing needles won't cut it. You will put a hole through your lip but it will be far, far too small to put anything through, much less a straw.
3. There can be a lot of bleeding from sites such as the lip. Are you sure that you are OK with the site of your own blood. I'm not talking about a few drops here, more of a 1/2 cup or even more.
4. There's going to be a lot of scarring if you do it yourself (even if your mom lets you keep it) and even more scarring if it gets infected. Are you sure you are ready for the possibility of permanent facial disfigurement?
5. If your parents won't let you get a piercing now, chances are, they will make you take one out the minute they see it. So all that work will be wasted.

The best way to get your lip pierced would be to sit down with your parents and maturely discuss why they don't want you do get one. Maybe they will let you get one if you convince them that you are mature and will take care of it, and will take the piercing out if your grandparents come over.

Hope this helps!

If you can't afford to get the piercing done by a qualified professional, let alone get a proper stud then you shouldn't even be thinking about this.

But if you fancy a dose of scepticemia then go ahead.

No! You can't! They pierce lips with 14g needles and a straw is closer to a 4g.... Even if you do manage, it will tear and become horribly infected...! If it means anything, I would still make you take it out if I was your parent.

the straw would be too large and you'd risk terrible infection. once you get a new piercing you really aren't supposed to take it out for at least 6 weeks. if you take it out sooner your risk of infection is higher. if you do manage to pierce it at least go to a piercing shop and ask for tips.. i guarantee you they will tell you not to do it yourself. they use special needles and have proper sterilizing equipment. just wait until you're 18 to get it pierced. its not worth the drama you'd go through with your parents. good luck.

How the heck are you going to pierce your skin with a flimsy plastic straw. Go ahead...tell me how it goes.
