All of their outfielders are healthy? I'm a Yankee fan, and I know short term this will help with the addition of Abreu... but when Sheffield and Matsui are healthy what then will the Yankees do?

I'm figuring Sheffield will become the DH left handed pitchers, Jay DH right handed pitchers. Matsui goes back to right, Abreu goes to right with Damon stays in center. At the end of the season Giambi gets traded for pitching. Yankees should win the division when everyone gets back.

When Sheffiled is back the yankees will use him for the rest of the year. He will be gone at the end of the year. Matsui will get his spot.. Look for Barry Zito in 07 free agency GOOO YANKEES

This is Sheffields last year of his contract , so if Abreu works out they can use it as contract levearge. They could use of their young talent like cano as trading bait for better pitchers.

sheffield will not come back becuase the dude it old and they will most likely give abreu a extention or they will take him for the rest of this year and leave him a free agent

Sheffield will not be healthy. If he were returning soon, this deal would not be made. When he comes back, Bernie will be on the bench or released & milkey will be in the minors or traded.

The Yankees are a great team with great players, but they are extremely over rated.
