I really doubt the whole world is anti-semite. You MIGHT be able to argue the muslim world is anti-semite, but as an all-or-nothing sort of statement, even this is probably a stretch.

Ummmm - the word is anti-Semitic, and the world isn't. The world isn't anti- or pro- anything. Some people are, some people aren't but the whole world can't agree on anything!

There is a word for it because it is so common. In fact the whole reason there is a nation of Israel is because hating Jews was such a problem. In fact there are lots of other special words. Holocaust was invented as a term to describe what Hitler did to the Jews. Pogram was invented to describe what the Russians did to them.
The Jews have always been persecuted. Those who do it point to things like Jewish control of the money system, or their supposed taking of land, but given that it is has been so consistent and widespread throughout time it does cause you to wonder if a more "spiritual" reason should be considered.
If they are God's chosen people, then it would certainly make sense that the world would hate them.

I'm not a semite, but I still hear people hating on semites. I don't get it either. It takes so much effort to hate, yet people keep doing it.

they are not
I do not care if someone is jewish
if they are zionist and start going on about being the chosen people and bombing a UN outpost and not caring
then it gets annoying.
but I dont hate them
why is there a word for it?
anti-semite?
other groups do not have a word for people that are against them

Some people are, not the whole world. Some group of people is against anything you can think of, even lollipops and fuzzy kittens.

Because they are God's Chosen People who committed a great sin. God told Israel that they would have many generations of trials and weeping. But those generations are about ended.
