The only real answer is patience. If you love this guy more than life itself, then you should be willing to wait. If this guy friend of yours has definitely chosen an alternative lifestyle, then move on with your life.
There's a saying.... if you love it, let it go. If it returns then it's yours to keep forever, and if it doesn't then it was never meant to be..... something pretty close to that.
So while your friend is obviously exploring his sexuality, move on with your life. Keep in contact as friends, and when he realizes his true desires. I'm sure that he will let them be known to you.

See what the liberal (do what feels right at the time) movement is doing to America!!!
P*$$*$ me off to no end.
If he chose to be gay then all you can do is try to talk to him tell him how you feel for him & if you were mistaken on the connection you both shared...
Most importantly ask him WHY??!!!!?
People ARE NOT born gay .. They choose to be gay!
BUT WHY?
It is sick & perverted & distructive to themselves & society.
I would really love to know why people choose to be gay?!
Was he always a staight guy before? if so ask him why did he choose to be gay?
Especially since you say you 2 had such a connection!
I really do feel bad for you & him.
He has no clue what he is doing to himself if he continues this life style. Hopefully he wakes up & gets away from that distructive lifestyle.
I truly hope you can get through to him! If not move on with your life keep him in your thoughts & prayers..
He's not the only good guy left in the world. (that isn't gay)
Good luck & God Bless

That is an unfortunate thing about our country. We are so steeped in things that are unnatural that we tend not to see it when it comes our way. Unfortunately; your boyfriend has fallen into that trap.
Unfortunately; we all have a free will and therefore you can not make him turn back. Consider something else though if you would. He may have had lust; but, he never actually truly loved you. If he had he would have been faithful to you. You can not make someone love you.
We've all been there; well, not exactly in this way; but, we have all loved and not loved in return. However; you can not make someone Love you back however much you want to. As much as I feel for you; there is truly no solution for this question.

The absolute hardest thing in life is accepting that something is never going to be. Dont spend years torturing yourself with the what if's, maybe's and if only's - this man has moved on and you must too. One day, when you've had time to grieve (and grieve you must, feel sorry, wallow, cry, but get up in the morning and get on with your life) you will be able to have an amazing friendship with this man. Best of luck to you

So sad your friend has chosen to act upon unnatural impulses.
Homosexuality is a choice. You may be born "gay", but you have the ability to choose to act upon it or not. Just like you choose to act upon "straight" sexual impulses.
Unless he chooses otherwise you have lost him to a very ugly subculture here in the USA.
You should allow your heart to move on.

He did not "become " gay. He has always been gay and is just now coming out. You cannot change him. People do not choose to become gay and they cannot just decide to become "straight" again. Enjoy your friendship with him and accept him for what he is.

He will on his on time but not as your lover but as your friend. If you don't accept him for what he has chosen to be you will lose the connection with him even as a friend.Don't push him away if you love him.

we are not speaking in terms of DNA here...
this is the lifestyle he has chosen for himself... he can decide to be straight but that is unlikely...
i know it is tough, but you will have to choose to accept that your friend is just that, a good friend whom you love dearly...
be thankful that you have him, many of us don't have friends like that...
