Depends on your looks, but here are some common figures for you to consider. 99% of strippers in US don't get paid hourly wages, although they have successfully won in many court cases to force the owners to pay hourly and some medical insurance. That said, most strippers actually PAY every night just to be able to get on the stage and advertise themselves (stage fees), and they give a percentage of all dances (usually 10~20%).
I'd say that most active strippers work about 3 days/nights a week, and during the usual 8 hour shift, they'd do couple of big VIP lap dances and some small dances and some cash tips, which comes down about $400. Now, since this gig is mostly commission-based, and unless you're uniquely hot and a natural flirt, you will need some time to build loyal customer base, so it might take you a while to earn the high chips from the get go.
I've known girls who do part-time and do couple of hundred bucks a week for their shopping endeavours, and I've also known girls pulling $5,000 a night in Vegas clubs.
If you are a girl looking to get into the industry, I'd tell you to exercise all other options before. I hear the army's got great career plans. However, if you must do it, go to bigger, more corporate-based clubs if possible.

The reality that judgemental people miss is, if your good at what you do, you can make a lot of money. You can make the average persons weekly salary in 12 minutes of your time. You can then multiple that by up to 12 times in one night. And that is with out flashing your willy.
On the other hand I know a lot of poor strippers. Just make sure you get into it for the right reason.

I seriously doubt that anyone would pay me a plug nickel to strip my clothes off. I'd be lucky if I could find someone who would let me do it even if I payed them.
However, for those who do have the body for such activities, it can be rather lucrative. A feature dancer in even a 'lower class' establishment can easily earn $1000 or more per week - just for dancing, no other 'extra' activities.

A good stripper can make100-200K a year no problem. They will only be able to do it for a few years while they are still hot though.

not very much... I only made $400 per night... some of the others made much more... but then they were willing to do much more than I was willing to do.
