YES! Back in the 50's we played cowboys and Indians without thinking about it as VIOLENCE. Also cops and robbers. We used play guns that didn't shoot out anything but some used caps to create realism. We used our fingers like a gun or a little stick . My bro had a cap gun and I used 2 bricks to pop the caps he LET me use. But it never carried over into the real world, it was just play. Kids today sit and play the video games for hrs and hrs and they have the blood and super violence Incorporated into their thoughts and think violence is the action to take when there is a problem or confrontation.I guess we had so much responsibility because we worked on the farm,in the yard, and house and when we played, we were kids just having fun to let loose and just be. I wish parents would limit kids use and not allow some of the really bad games with foul lang.,violence, and killing.

I think to a degree it is. That's why the parents need to be even more responsible and talk to their children about what they see on tv.
