Meijer sells the cheapest tickets for last minute trips. They're 34.99 for a one day pass. You can get the same price on the Kings Island website but you have to order them as 3 day advance tickets.

Local Kroger stores usually have some kind of discount thing going on.
I pretty much stopped going after they started selling season passes. Too many kids every day where parents think of it as cheap baby sitting service.

Super America had some tickets for like $30.00, for awhile. Try to get tickets where the day before you can get in for cheap.

Order them online at pki.com a few days early and they give you a discount.
