i kno alot of people and there all like anti emo and punk, and it sucks because im classified as emo, but i hang out with all the preppy people, my sister even makes crap out of me because i wear band shirts and converse shoes, and listen to emo music

I think you're stupid for classifying yourself in the first place. Even more so for caring what other people think. I wear converse shoes, but not band t-shirts, and I hate Emo. So what am I?

Most people don't like hanging around emo people because they are known for cutting themselves and just plain losers. I'm not saying ur a loser or anything, it's just that I wouldn't want to be classified as emo because everyone makes fun of them and such. What's wrong with converse??? It's not just for punk/emo ppl!! Depending on the band shirts, I would say they're alright too.

It's a ridiculous stereotype. The amount of teenagers who think they can somehow improve themselves by dressing themselves up like clowns and forcing themselves to listen to a particular style of music is so high nowadays, it's just not unique or different. To be fair though, it's nobody's right to judge and the existence of "emos" doesnt really have a great effect on the rest of the world. The high-and-mighty attitude doesn't exactly help though.

I really dont understand why people try so hard to be "different"if you ever ask a goth why they dress the way they do they always say its because they want to be different and unique, dont they realise that since every other goth dresses exactly the same with the black clothes and hair and make up, that they are not being differnt and unique just part of another group of people

Hey so am I! My older brother is allways like GOTH GOTH GOTH with everyone else at my school!!! But people just don't really understand us and most are scared because we are all "dark". Well what I say is they're just jealuse of our awesome-ness becuase we rock hard! Also it's because we are different from the average Hilary Duff worshiper.

using the word "emo" automatically makes you a loser. thats just how life is.
ps - you can wear converse shoes and not be a loser...lots of people do it.
but dont worry, you'll grow out of this silly phase.
