Hm.. I'm a gemini guy and I have a crush on a cancer girl...
Astrology says they aren't compatible, but i don't really believe, once I feel we have a great attraction to eachother...
I had a virgo girlfriend (which is also said not to be compatible with gemini) and we have dated for 3 years.
Everything will depends on your astral chart. Only the Sun Sign can't be enough to describe your compatibility.

I am a cancer girl and have been together with two geminies - over the long run - I dont think it will work out. both signs are too different to fulfill each others needs, you as the cancer will get hurt if your gemini partner wont pay attention to you or snuggle with you. On the other side your gemini partner might get fed up with you cuz you dont give him enough space and are too clingy.

sun sign is not enough. you need to know the full chart and all it's aspects. people are more complex than a generalization of character. plus people all have and make choices. you can try and find out then choose.
(but personally i don't think the Gemini will be sensitive enough to the cancers feelings)

no, they are not compatible, but that doesn't mean that they aren't meant for each other, i once went out with someone who was a libra (boy) and i am a gemini (girl) and we didn't hit it off, and we are supposed to be very much compatible
