It is debatable, also it is debatable the meaning of 'power'. I am agnostic but come from a Jewish family. While one of my relatives (by marriage) own a corporation that makes a popular brand of computer speakers, the others have less powerful jobs. One is a very successful divorce lawyer, one is an administrative assistant (cough*secretary*cough) and one is a rabbi. I don't know much else I don't really talk to my family other than a few. So it isn't MY fam that's for sure, haha.

It probably isn't so much Jewish power that is strong, but the power of the RICH, some of which happen to be Jewish, but not necessarily unified because of that, despite the tendency of the rich to be traditional. They also do what they want. One can have anti-semitic sentiments and not be anti semitic, and not realize that these sentiments are anti semitic - it is how they are interpreted, truly, rather than the intent behind it. Nevertheless, Antiseminitism (not that I am saying it is standing alone, every type of racism or whatever is rampant in this country) tends to make people think that ALL the enemies are Jews, when it is not the case. Do not buy into it - do your own research to find out for yourself.

I think that's pretty much a myth. There are a lot of special interest groups that are looking for a scapegoat to blame thier failures on, and the jews have always been a handy target because of thier success.

I work for a fortune 500 company, and the only jewish person I know of in the company has the same level job as I do, which is not top management.

There are many people in the entertainment industry who have Jewish backgrounds. Because of this, many assume that all fields of business are controlled by Jews. It is not true. Just because a few people (i.e Steven Spielberg) have a very high profile in society,it does not mean that Jews control everything. Jewish people are people, some are more succesful than others.

Judaism Has nothing to do with Zionism to debate this point all you need is to question this hypothesis. Are all Jews Zionists? NO . Do all Jews live in the Zionist state? NO. do all the people who live in the Zionist state are Zionists? NO. Was Zionism movement born in the holy land? No. it was born in the west. Was Zionism a religious movement? No it was never religious. And we can go on asking about this forever and it will end up its true that Judaism Has nothing to do with Zionism

Proportional to their share of the population, Jews probably do have a lot of power. Proportional to their population, blacks have less power. This could be related to culture and historical circumstances.

No one group has "alot" of power, it ebbs and flows really. IF you are asking why the US supports Israel so much, I would tell you it's because it is a democracy first of all, it is strategically located in the ME, and lately, because the US is also in a war against Islamic-based terrorism, and we see Israel is too.
