Is purple a good color to bring out hazel eyes? I use black and sometimes green to bring out the slight bit of green in my eyes. Is purple good though? Please tell me of any good colors to use and brands.

I have hazel eyes and I find the best colour liner for me is blue or indigo. Rimmel makes a nice eyeliner called "denim". And Mary Kay makes an indigo shade. I recommend either one.

You can find Rimmel at your local WalMart nowadays. They come out of London.

To make a colour appear stronger - you always go to the opposite colour on the colour wheel. So for green (hazel), that would be red. Purples will work really well - use a red based purple and not a blue based purple. An example of a red purple would be the part of a plum that attaches to the skin on the inside.
A blue based purple would be Violet Beauregard from Willy Wonka.

Purple would look awesome with hazel eyes but make sure you get it more pink-toned that blue violet purple and MAC has a large variety of liners..you could try Permaplum from MAC in the powerpoint eye pencil section and they're only 13.50 so it's not too bad

I think that a violet shade would look pretty, if you do it right. It goes well with the brown in your eyes and should make them pop. Violet is not an everyday type of eyeliner... save it for fun nights out!

Mary Kay has a great violet eyeliner. It is not a harsh pencil that can tug at the delicate skin around your eyes. It is soft and rolls up when you need more. Check out all the other fun colors that they have too! www.marykay.com/jessicamueller918

Feel free to let me know if you have any questions!

Hi,
The unstoppable maybelline eyeliner is ok, but it seems like it gets hard and chunky fast. (You know, like it crumbles a little when you put it on so that you need to touch it up more.)

The Loreal Infinite eyeliner is softer and goes on easier.

These are both in the plastic dispensers. You twist to make more come out, but they don't self sharpen (make a point) like they are suppose to and the Lorael one gets messy. The eyeliner leaks out the twisting area or something.

The green and black both sound like good choices. You have to be careful about redish eyeliners making any redness/blemishes stand out.

Hope that helped some

Yes, I think purple or a plum color would be beautiful. Avon's Glimmersticks have a plum color otherwise they have a purple one in their waterproof Glimmersticks. Also Bare Escentuals has really pretty eyeliners in all colors, they are sold on QVC.com, Ulta3.com

yes purple is a good colour for you to wear. try a lavender shade with a little shimmer. The black is also fine, it tends to accent most eye colours nicely.
