there are purple/reddish marks on the body... wonder what kind of sickness is that...

I just read something about that. Yes, a disease did kill him, but it is unknown. There isn't a name for it. This is where I read about it.

He did NOT have tuberculosis. I cannot tell you what he had, but TB, also commonly known as consumption, attacks the the lungs for the most part, consuming the person from the inside. Okita Souji had tuberculosis, but not Kenshin.

TB??? sure? i thought the sickness of kenshin is aids coz kaoru possess the sickness after they made love....
