Most mornings he just cries for his breakfast. But sometimes I'll hear him laughing over the baby monitor. I don't have a clue what he's laughing at but as long as he's happy, I'm happy. But whatever he's doing, as soon as he sees me open his bedroom door, he smiles and laughs and holds his little arms out for me to pick him up. When I pick him up, he'll lay his little head down on my shoulder and pat my arm. So sweet!

My son is 16 months and first thing in the morning he will start jabbering. I can hear him on the baby monitor and I love it. He just talks away. Then he will turn on the musical bird thing we have hanging at the end of his bed. He likes to watch the birds move around. It is so sweet when they are little and they don't stay that way long. (Then they grow up and get a smart mouth)

My 4 month old is all about the food too. She smiles the minute she sees me, but she is definitely ready to eat!! She pulls at my shirt and makes a lot of grunting and cooing noises. I guess that's her way of saying , "Mommy it's time to nurse!"

my 10 day old wakes up and wants to nurse right away, even if she just finished within the past hour or so. my 2 yr old wakes up every morning and tells me it's time to change her dress. then she plays for an hour or so til she's ready to eat.

My baby girl wakes up in her crib and starts talking to herself in the sweetest, softest voice. It's funny because that's the only time she really talks quietly. It's like she is trying to learn new words secretly before we go take her out!

I have a two month old and when I go to his crib in the morning he looks at me and smiles. Then he puts his belly up because he wants me to hold him.
How I treasure our moments in the morning before I go to work...!

If I'm the first thing he sees when he opens his eyes he gives me a huge smile, and cooes(sp?) at me very lovingly. He "talks" very quietly but as he starts waking up he gets really loud.

babies stomachs are very tiny and they are growing at an amazing rate. This is the first thing most babies as soon as they wake.
