Usually, if an account is inactive for three months (you don't sign in for three months straight) most e-mail providers delete the account. I had two prior Yahoo e-mails and this did work for me. That was over five years ago, so things may have changed, though.

If you have any questions, you could contact your e-mail provider's help center to see if inaction leads to deactivation. I would think it should because what's the purpose of keeping something active that isn't being used?

You can never delete an account with yahoo.. maybe you can if u contact yahoo... (otherwise ignore it)

if you go to yahoo most asked questions (help) it will tell you what to do and how to do it. Yahoo will walk you through it---- look at the top of the page in your right hand corner and press help.
