My male mouse, Kicho, is a perfectly healthy mouse. When I first got him he was just like any other mouse; ate, drank, slept, groomed, ran in his wheel. But one day, Kicho changed. I'm not sure why, but he began running in circles! I read up that this can sometimes happen if your mouse has a problem with it's ears, but the mouse also gets sick when that happens. Then I read that some mice run in circles because of stress. I have had Kicho for over a year. Just looking for advice, or conversation if anyone else has a mouse like him.

If he can ONLY walk in circles and isn't able to walk straight at all, he has either an inner ear infection or a brain tumor and will need to be seen by a vet. If he CAN walk straight, but chooses to run in circles I wouldn't worry about it, I would imagine that as long as he is eating and drinking normally he is probably just being hyper. It is possible that he is bored (like zoo animals that 'pace' for lack of something to do) so make sure he has a large cage with toys and a wheel and things to chew. Good luck!
