Republican and Democrat refer to two political parties: The Republican Party of the United States (or GOP) and the Democratic Party of the United States. Right Wing and Left Wing refer to "wings" on the American political spectrum. "Conservatives" are generally considered "Right Wing" and modern liberals are generally considered "left-wing". However it is important to point out that not everyone can easily fit on that spectrum. This is why the Nolan Chart was invented. If you would like to find out where you fit on the Nolan Chart you can take the World's Smallest Political Quiz. Taking it is very educational and will answer your question in more depth.

cantcu is feeding you a line of B.S.

Right wing refers to conservatives and Left wing to Liberals.

Most members of the Republican party are conservatives. Most members of the Democratic party are liberals

Conservatives believe in INDIVIDUAL rights, freedom, and responsibility. Liberals on the other hand, believe that ones highest responsibility is to the group, the community.

As a conservative, I believe that liberals are sincere but misguided. They want to see that all people are treated well and fairly, but they are willing to steal from the high achievers and the most productive among us in order to subsidize the underachievers.

As a Conservative, I believe that any political system that does not account for human instincts is doomed to failure. The logical end point of Liberalism is Communism, which has failed miserably everywhere it's been tried.

There is no simple answer? Wish there were, but the primary difference is that the right, who should be called fascist, and Republicans, believe in corporations and their pocket book and look at the rest of society as people to be used.

The left believe in equality, and fairness, and looking after the least of us, something that never crosses a Republicans mind!
