How 'big' $1000 is depends greatly on what context you are putting that money. If you are telling me to go buy whatever I want with it, then yes, it is quite a bit of money as I dont have many demanding items of interest. If you want me to add that to my living expenses and see how much easier it is for me to meet my monthly demands, then no, it's not gonna change my life.
If I could buy whatever I wanted with that money, I would get my wife and kids something nice. Nice bracelet and some flowers sent to her work. Kids always want some kind of doll or other. I might spluge on them and get them a power wheels or something like that. I'd spend the rest on golf equiptment and green fees.
I wish I could thank you for the $1000 but alas, all you have given me is 2 points and a few seconds to dream. Thanks anyways.

As a single parent with 3 children, $1000 is quite a bit of money. Speaking only for myself, I would spend it on things we NEED as opposed to things we WANT. If there isnt anything we need at the time, then a few wanted items would be nice, but to save the majority of it in case of an emergency...it is alway beneficial to be prepared!!

$1000 would help a lot. And wouldn't be extra. I'd be able to pay some med bills and finally move...
If it was spare or extra money I'd save it. I haven't started planning for retirement at all!

But no, as a high school student, I would buy an old beater and measure out all the surfaces of the paint and finally set up the website to get a Bunch of bumper stickers to cover all the painted surfaces of the car...

I'd probably take a chunk out of one of my bills. If I didn't have bills, I would take a trip to an uncrowded beach in Florida and sip margaritas for a week.

$1000 would mean so much to me, i would be able to buy groceries for my family, get much needed diapers and either pay my car payment or rent, the sad part is i would not be able to splurge, cause i have so many bills that need to be payed and feed my kids
