how do you fix a car door remote??

my clicker to lock/unlock my car stops working and when i open it up there is black stuff on the circuit board. what is that and how do i fix it???/

Sounds like coffee was spilled on it Try a new battery or you may have to replace the whole thing!

try a new battery..but it sounds like its fried(aka the black stuff)

buy a new remote off Ebay for your car...or go to the dealership
