It is usually possible to trim the outside of hollow core doors to some extent, as the wood used on the outside has some thinkness.
When you buy the door you need to ask how think it is for that model to see if you can get your inch and a half.
When you trim them you will have to take a bit off, best use a circular saw, and then sand and paint to match.
It would be easier, though more expensive to special order. You can get a hollow core door of almost any size you need.
Alternativly, depending on the type of door frames inside, you could make them higher and move the hinges.

Try a Mobile Home Supply Store.
Mobile Home Doors are often shorter.
Pretty easy fix, to trim down a 6'8" door, if you have the tools to do it.
Carefully slide utility knife between skin and upper stile, remove the stile, trim door to fit, and re glue stile into original and cut down position.
Mobile Home or Special Order Door would be much for expensive than stock sizes.
If you feel comfortable with basic carpentry skills, go for the modification.

you can easily trim 3/4" off top and bottom
a worm drive circular saw will be easier to handle (straighter cut)
than a regular one
you can clamp a strip of wood on the door and use it as a guide for the saw
make sure the blade is sharp too. doors are pretty thick.

buy the 80" door and cut it. it is an easy job.
once you cut the door, you will see that now there is no solid piece left in the bottom of the door
so take the piece that you cut off and it will have to be cut to fit
do this by trimming the door pieces off of the solid piece of wood, then glue the solid piece back inside the door. easy, no problem

You will have to cut the 80"
Score the cut off point with a utility knife, (top side only) cut with powersaw, the piece you cut off, using a sharp chisel clean the veneer off add glue and insert it back in the door. Place in clamp overnight, use a fine sandpaper to round off the edges...

u can cut 3/4" of of both ends but u will more than likely cut all of the wooden stock that is in the door at the bottom and top. u should think about replacing bottom and top material after cutting length....trim comes in all length/........

Not me. But my daughter slams it hard enough the first time. One more episode of that nonsense and the door comes off the hinges until I feel like putting it back up.
